About Calvary Chapel Jacksonville

The beginning ...
After serving on staff as a Pastor at both Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Florida and then at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pastor Keith Allen Pintar responded to the call of the Holy Spirit to “return to his homeland” and plant a Calvary Chapel in his home state of Florida. After much prayer and preparation, Calvary Chapel Jacksonville held its first service on Feb. 19, 1999 with a handful of people hungry to learn God’s Word through an expository verse-by-verse teaching of the entire Bible — in the typical Calvary Chapel style.

A Blessed Fellowship ...
Today, Calvary Chapel Jacksonville has become a well-fed, blessed body of believers who continue to grow through God’s Word and by His grace. It is a fellowship that puts feet to its faith by sharing the good news of salvation by serving the lost, the hopeless and the helpless. In this way and by the grace of God, Calvary Chapel Jacksonville is changing not only its city but other areas — one person at at time.

Pastor Keith, his wife Christy, and the body of believers who attend Calvary Chapel Jacksonville continue to see the Lord work through this church in amazing ways: “Teaching the Word, Reaching the Lost, and Making and Sending Disciples.”

Join us as we grow in Him through the teaching of His Word!

“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)
