"Those who know God the best are the richest and most powerful in prayer. Little acquaintance with God, and strangeness and coldness to Him, make prayer a rare and feeble thing."

Keith Allen Pintar Music Ministry
Keith Allen Pintar was born and raised in Miami, Florida, in a musically and show business oriented family. His mother, Marie, was the second violinist for the Miami Beach Philharmonic, performing for the likes of Sammy Davis Jr., Bobby Darin, and many other stars. Keith's father, Frank, was a radio announcer and impressionist who performed in New York, Chicago, and California.
When Keith was eleven years old, Keith and his family's lives were turned upside down by the death of his mother, who died from complications relating to multiple sclerosis. As a result, Keith began dabbling with drugs and alcohol. As a rebellious but gifted young musician he pursued the rock and roll music "dream," opening up for such 80's bands as Cheap Trick, Joe Satriani, Great White, and others. Seeking Rock Star "fame and fortune," Keith became immersed in the music business as both a career, and an escape...
After many years of "climbing the music business ladder" and achieving surprising success with Capitol Records, and extensive radio play in the Midwest, Keith realized he was utterly unhappy. He in fact eventually became suicidal through the lost world of "sex, drugs, and rock and roll." In 1990, a broken and desperate man, he was put into a Christian Rehabilitation Center - "Faith Farm" - in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, by his family. It was there that he met Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. After staying at Faith Farm for 18 months, and eventually serving on staff there part-time, he was called to be a local missionary at Fort Lauderdale Area Youth For Christ, working with broken, desperate teens. It was there that he met his future wife, Christy...
After spending several fruitful years at Youth For Christ, Keith joined the staff at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale as Pastor Bob Coy's Youth Pastor. While on staff there, he also joined the praise and worship band and occasionally led praise and worship in the absence of Worship Pastor Clay Hecocks. About this time, his wife Christy also came on staff at the church full time. In addition to co-hosting a local radio show, and singing and playing guitar on several of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale's CD/DVD Worship projects, Keith recorded his first Christian CD project entitled "Take It To The World", receiving local and national radio play. He then began to tour and minister through the songs God had given him - locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
In 1996, Keith responded to the Lord's call to move his family to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to join the staff at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel as the Assistant Pastor/Assistant Praise Leader, and also to sign with the "Calvary Chapel Music" record label in Denver. It was with the Calvary Chapel Music label that he released his second CD entitled "Solid Ground." The project featured such accomplished musicians as legendary drummer Dennis Holt (Michael W. Smith, Twila Paris, Phil Keaggy, Ricky Skaggs, etc.) and harmonica player extraordinaire Darrell Mansfield (Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Loverboy, etc.).
After several fruitful years of ministry out west, including more radio play, opening for artists such as Phil Keaggy, The Newsboys, and Audio Adrenaline, and singing at churches such as Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, CA (Pastor Chuck Smith), Horizon Christian Fellowship, CA, and many others, Keith then again, in 1999, responded to the Lord's call to move to Jacksonville, Florida, to plant Calvary Chapel Jacksonville Church.
In addition to the blessings of serving as Senior Pastor/Worship Pastor at Calvary Chapel Jacksonville, Keith continues to minister through music locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, doing many concerts, outreaches, churches, jail and homeless ministries, school chapels, various conferences, and leading Praise and Worship at many churches.
Keith was also recently blessed to release his latest CD project entitled "Musicianary," which features pioneer Christian singer/songwriter Kelly Willard (Keith Green, Twila Paris, Fernando Ortega, etc.). "Musicianary" has a wide spectrum of musical styles and also includes a DVD testimonial of Keith's life. The testimonial, entitled "Glitter To Glory," was filmed, produced, and televised by the Christian Broadcast Network's "700 Club," with host Pat Robertson. Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale's Media Ministry and Television Studio also graciously provided additional assistance with the DVD project.
Over the years, Calvary Chapel Jacksonville has been blessed to become an extremely active outreach oriented church - fueled by the Holy Spirit - and Pastor Keith's musical and evangelistic gifts. Church members minister, on a weekly basis, at various homeless shelters, jails, schools, hospitals, and nursing homes in the Jacksonville area, as well as regionally, nationally, and internationally.
If you are interested in having Keith come co-labor and minister at your church, outreach, concert, school, program event, etc., please contact us at Calvary Chapel Jacksonville by phone: (904) 998-1792, e-mail: cchapeljax@aol.com, or website: calvarychapeljax.com.
